
UK Gunpowder Van Pack 1
History:
Gunpowder vans were used by the railways to carry gunpowder shipments for the UK military services, and mining companies/quarries. These vehicles were designed specifically to carry these goods due to the dangerous nature of transporting gunpowder.
Because of the dangers of gunpowder the GPVs were built as an all metal construction and wood lined with cast plates on the doors leaving clear instructions to shunters to take care shunting GPV Wagons.
Under British railways ownership a number of GPVs were given vacuum braking, whereas some previous GPVs had vacuum through pipes, the adding of Vacuum brakes allowed for better braking of trains and increased safety of GPV vans and their explosive contents.

This pack includes 16 Liveries From LNER, LMS, GWR, BR ROF, LNWR and NSR. Each wagon has 3 levels of weathering from clear to heavily weathered, wagons include animated coupling, Interiors and working tail lamps.
